InjectionNeuroma

Cortisone injections are used to treat joint pain and soft tissue inflammation, including foot problems such as hallux limitus, capsulitis and Morton’s neuroma.

Cortisone injections are a form of steroid injection and are given with a small dose of local anaesthetic, which makes the injection easier for you and keeps the site numb for a few hours afterward.

These injections often have a cumulative effect, which means out of a course of three injections, each one has an improved and sustained effect compared to the last injection. However you are limited to a course of three injections per year per joint.

Cortisone does not work for everybody and it is best to discuss your needs and suitability at your clinic appointment.
